mountain winter wedding anyone?

I had recently announced my sister-in-law Casie's engagement so let the planning begin!  She has decided on a mountain winter wedding and I am so excited for her and hope to help with anything she needs along the way.  I have decided to dedicate every Wednesday to winter wedding inspiration to send her some great ideas.  Please comment along the way and let her know your valuable opinions!  Check back in next Wednesday for the first entry.

a new way to accessorize

As I was browsing Houzz last night I came across a great article on how piping can transform and tailor an upholstered piece of furniture (which I completely agree with).  While I was perusing the examples I came across the picture above and thought it was a genius way of styling a chair.  Adding the two different colored throws and placing them over the back and under the seat completely changes the look of the chair.  What a great way of updating the look of an old chair!

I was lucky enough to get invited to a Wacoal lingerie preview at the Ritz Carlton here in Denver.  Not only was it fun to see a Ritz suite but Wacoal generously provided delicious food, wine, a bra fitting, and a free bra!  Could you have a better Thursday?  I hadn't been familiar with Wacoal prior but after seeing their new b.tempt'd line I have to say I am hooked!  Take a look at some of my favorites:

I had also never had an actual bra fitting before and to my surprise I was not the size I thought I was!  Wacoal had some interesting bra facts I just had to share:

One last thing as I know this post is a bit long :).  I loved their take on the Control Freak Shapewear.  It is shapewear that is designed for the two most common body types, the apple and the pear.  I just love the concept!

room of the week

As I was browsing pinterest I came across this lovely designed bedroom and had to share it.  The focal point of the room is clearly the bed and although it's large it doesn't feel overpowering draped in wispy sheers and soft grays.  The wood floors warm the space with their rich brown color and the dental crown moulding finishes the room off perfectly.

So I absolutely loved my experience at Fluff Bar.  It makes getting ready to go out a blast.  When I arrived they handed me a mimosa for my birthday and began on my hair.  It would be a perfect place to take a group of girlfriends and get pampered before a special night out.  My hair felt amazing and I loved the way it looked, take a look:

The pics came out a little fuzzy but you get the idea.  At some point here I will get a new camera I promise!

happy birthday to me

So today is the day, no longer a twenty-something, I am now a 30 year old.  Not sure how I feel about this...on one hand 29 was a tough year so let's hope this year brings something new, but on the other hand I'm now 30.  Welp, I can't do much about it so here we go...
