I have something huge to admit...I don't have a laptop I can travel with.  I know, I blog and have to do so on my desktop computer.  This is why I have been so sparse lately!  I have traveled to Grand Junction and DC in the last two weeks and my posts have gone by the waste side.  I have missed you guys and therefore have been dreaming about a MacBook so I can always post no matter where I am.  And dreaming of how I would accessorize it of course!  This brings me to today's post, adorable laptop sleeves, come dream with me...

I love a chevron pattern and it can be monogrammed!



A simple sleeve, don't mind if I do.



You could get multiple hard cases and change them out to fit your mood.

winter wedding wednesday

It has been a few weeks since I have been able to do a wedding post!  Today I am going to discuss bridesmaid dresses.  Originally my concept for Casie's bridesmaid dresses was based on this picture:

There will just be two of us standing up with Casie and the thought is to do two different styles and colors of dresses and then bring the two together with the maid of honor wearing a coordinating colored sash, what do you think?



We have been doing some shopping and deciding on what dresses look best on everyone and I will hold off showing the decisions made until after the wedding, I promise I will show pictures!  But in the meantime here are some other lovely bridesmaid inspirational photos:

You could always go with the standard matching dresses and bouquets.  Of course for the
winter wedding we would need to add shawls for the outside portion.

Again, make needed modifications for winter but this is an adorable idea:
Completely different styled dresses in a similar color.  It has a relaxed and
real quality vs. the photos where all bridesmaids look the same (it doesn't
hurt that they are skipping either.



Or, take it one step further and have a palette range and different colors!  I love the vintage
feel of this group.

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  As I was wandering around on pinterest I came across this image and it just felt like a great way to spend a July evening.  I wish I were there right now (as long as someone set it up and takes it down for me :)).

add personal style to the bathroom

I saw this article written by Jenn Hannotte, Principle of Ruset and Empire Interiors in Toronto, on Houzz and I loved it and wanted to share.  You can view it below or see it on houzz.com here.

"The bathroom seems to be the one spot in our homes that we forget to inject with personal style. We tend to spend a lot of time considering its materials and function (as we should), but then we decorate it only with bathroom-y items, and before we know it we're stuck in an oddly bland and neutral space. The bathroom is actually one of the most fun rooms to play around with, simply because their neutral backdrop introduces eclectic interest."

 

Why keep plates strictly in the kitchen?

I love the dark gray walls highlighting the artwork with the bright white bead board.  This great stool also adds a "lived in" feel.

I have always loved chandeliers used in the bathroom, and the little
vignettes used throughout this space add some great texture.

You know me, I am a sucker for a good collage so why not bring one into the bathroom?  and P.S...I am dying for these floors!

I am almost finished with a bathroom I have been working on and I added shelves similar to the one's in the picture.  A great way to add storage space and just pretty space for accessories!  Adding the square molding surrounding a round mirror?  Genius!  And if we all were lucky enough to have a bathroom this large, why not add a cozy sofa and rug?

I think after seeing this article I might have to spruce up my own bathrooms!
